As one of the three Underworld Generals, he is regarded the strongest among them due to his superior strength.\nUpon Rhadamanthys' failure to defeat Scorpio Kardia, Pharaoh made things very difficult for him. To prove his loyalty, he dug out his heart to place it on the scale, firmly pledging his allegiance to Hades and was gifted with Hades' divine blood in return.\nHowever, Rhadamanthys' body rejected the newly acquired divine blood. Through pain and suffering, he evolved and eventually developed a new, even more powerful form of Surplice.
